Aldo Junior Simoncini (born August 30, 1986) is a Sammarinese footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Italian Serie A club A.C. Cesena and San Marino national team. Simoncini is a full-time player along with national team captain Andy Selva.
Simoncini has been with the national team for UEFA Euro 2008 qualifiers. He started the game against Germany. Germany scored 13 goals past him. Aldo was dropped for the game against the Republic of Ireland on November 15, 2006. He started the return game and was part of the San Marino team that were 3 seconds from their greatest result when Manuel Marani scored to make it 1-1. The Germany game was the second time he'd conceded double figures in international football, as in 2005 he was part of the San Marino under-21 side beaten 10-1 by Spain. He has a twin brother, Davide, who's also a footballer. He is currently playing for Santa Giustina Calcio and San Marino national team as a defender. The brothers scored an historic own goal each for Sweden on 7/9/10, the first time twins have ever done this in an international competition.
